Can I carry an oxygen concentrator?

Yes. If you wish to bring an oxygen concentrator and plan to use it on board the aircraft, you must fill out a medical form (MEDIF).

For battery-powered concentrators, the batteries should last for 150% of the flight duration (for example, if the flight lasts 4 hours, bring a battery that lasts for 6 hours).

Familiarize yourself with the current FAA guidelines regarding the types of concentrators that can be transported. (opens in a new tab)

Note: If you do not plan to use the oxygen concentrator during the flight, you do not need to fill out the medical form. You can place it in your carry-on baggage.

Remember, if you do not notify us in advance that you will be using the oxygen concentrator on board, you cannot use it without a medical certificate (MEDIF). The certificate must be submitted at least 48 hours before the flight. If you do not submit the required documents in advance, you will not be able to travel with the oxygen concentrator.
